“I would’ve really liked to have seen Rapunzel’s hair shorter, still blonde, but i wonder how it would have look in front of her body.”

Just like his work, Yamaguchi-sensei had a bright and cheerful personality and was loved by many of his friends, editors and anyone who had met him. He was always comfortable in his own skin and full of courage and humor, which has not changed from the first time I have met him to the very end, even during the hardships that he endured mentally and physically.
- Yasuji Misaka, Editor in Chief, MF Bunko JThank you so, so much for all the smiles, laughs, and tears you brought to so many fans’ lives, including my own. It’s incredibly saddening that you were taken from us so soon, and that you were not able to finish the series you loved.
Regardless, you will live on through the riveting world you created, with the wonderful, memorable characters you shared with us.
May you rest in peace, Yamaguchi-sensei.

Although I had a lovely birthday, I can’t not remark on some very saddening news. Yamaguchi Noboru-sensei, the light novel author & creator of Zero no Tsukaima, passed away last week.
Zero no Tsukaima author passes away at 41 years old.
Yamaguchi-sensei, you were an amazing person. You always reached out to your fans, even a silly blonde American girl who adored your work. You always inspired me to push the boundaries of my cosplay skills. You even complimented and chatted with me on Twitter often. Thank you for that. It made me smile when you said your wife was the most like Siesta, and when we chatted about smart phones. You wished me Happy New Year, too. But what made the biggest impression, was the comraderie you had with the artists. That’s what made your work shine the most. I’ll never forget you, and vow to complete the projects of your works that I had planned to cosplay. Rest in peace, know you are loved.
